Cool completely before storing
Store at room temperature in a bread box or paper bag for 2–3 days
Keep in a sealed container or plastic bag if your kitchen is dry; leave slightly vented if crust softens too much
Avoid the refrigerator for best texture
Freeze for longer storage: wrap tightly in plastic wrap or foil, then place in a freezer bag
Freeze sliced or whole; label with the date
Freeze up to 2–3 months for best quality
Thaw at room temperature in its wrapping for several hours
Reheat for fresh texture: warm in a 300–350°F (150–175°C) oven for 5–10 minutes
For mold prevention: discard immediately if mold appears
Store different breads separately to prevent flavor transfer
