Find a ceiling joist or stud with a stud finder
Mark the exact hanging location
Choose a ceiling hook rated for the plant’s weight
Drill a pilot hole if needed
Install the hook securely into the joist or with proper ceiling hardware
Use a ceiling anchor only if you cannot fasten into a joist and the anchor is weight-rated
Hang the plant with a strong chain, rope, or S-hook
Check that the pot is balanced and stable
Water the plant carefully to avoid drips
Test the setup gently before leaving it in place
Recheck the hook and hardware regularly
