Mark the exact spot where the anchor will go
Drill a hole with the correct drill bit size for the anchor
Clean out dust from the hole
Insert the anchor into the hole
Tap the anchor gently with a hammer if needed until it sits flush
Tighten the screw into the anchor until secure
Hang or mount the item on the installed anchor
Check that the item is stable and level
