Place the candle wax in a heat-safe container
Use a double boiler by setting the container in a pot of simmering water
Heat the wax slowly over low to medium heat
Stir occasionally with a heat-safe utensil
Remove the wax from heat once fully melted
Pour or use the melted wax as needed
Keep water out of the wax
Never leave melting wax unattended
Avoid direct high heat or open flame on the wax
Let the container cool before handling it
