Remove the husks and silk from the corn
Rinse the corn under cold water
Trim the ends if needed
Choose a cooking method: boiling, steaming, grilling, roasting, or microwaving
For boiling, bring a large pot of water to a boil
Add the corn and cook until tender, about 4 to 7 minutes
For steaming, place the corn in a steamer basket over boiling water and cook until tender
For grilling, brush the corn with oil or butter and cook over medium heat, turning until lightly charred
For roasting, wrap the corn in foil or place it on a baking sheet and bake until tender
For microwaving, wrap the corn in a damp paper towel and cook until tender
Drain or remove the corn from heat
Add butter, salt, and any desired seasonings
Serve immediately
