File the top coat gently to break the seal
Soak cotton pads in acetone
Place the soaked cotton on each nail
Wrap each fingertip with foil or use nail clips
Wait 10 to 15 minutes
Check one nail and repeat soaking if needed
Push off softened shellac with a cuticle pusher
Gently remove any remaining product
Buff lightly if necessary
Wash hands and apply cuticle oil or hand cream
