Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro
Select “File” → “Save As Other” → “Reduced Size PDF”
Choose a compatibility level if prompted
Click “Reduce File Size” or “Save”
Use Adobe Acrobat Online: upload PDF → select file compression/reduction → download the condensed PDF
Use Preview (macOS): open PDF in Preview → “File” → “Export” → set “Quartz Filter” to “Reduce File Size” → save
Use macOS Quick Actions (if available): right-click PDF → “Quick Actions” → “Reduce File Size” → save
Use Smallpdf: upload PDF → choose “Compress PDF” → download the compressed file
Use iLovePDF: upload PDF → choose “Compress PDF” → download the compressed file
Use PDF24 Tools: open PDF24 → select “Compress PDF” → adjust settings if available → save output
Use command line (Ghostscript): run a Ghostscript command to downsample images and rewrite the PDF at lower settings
Use command line (qpdf, if applicable): rewrite/optimize the PDF structure to remove unused objects (note: may not reduce image size much)
Verify output quality: open the condensed PDF and check readability and image clarity
Keep a backup of the original PDF before saving the condensed version
