Boil water, then let it cool for about 30 seconds to 1 minute
Add coarse ground coffee to the French press
Pour a small amount of hot water over the grounds to wet them evenly
Wait about 30 seconds for the coffee to bloom
Pour in the remaining hot water
Stir gently with a spoon or paddle
Place the lid on top with the plunger pulled up
Let the coffee steep for 3 to 4 minutes
Press the plunger down slowly and steadily
Pour the coffee immediately into cups or a separate container
Clean the French press after use
