Boil water, then let it cool for about 30 seconds to 1 minute
Measure coffee beans at a ratio of about 1:15 to 1:17 coffee to water
Grind the coffee to a coarse consistency
Add the ground coffee to the French press
Pour in a small amount of hot water to wet all the grounds
Wait 30 seconds for the coffee to bloom
Pour in the remaining hot water
Stir gently
Place the lid on the French press with the plunger pulled up
Steep for 4 minutes
Press the plunger down slowly and steadily
Pour the coffee immediately into cups or a serving container
Serve right away
