Preheat the oven to 400°F
Wash and trim the woody ends from the asparagus
Pat the asparagus dry
Toss the asparagus with olive oil, salt, and black pepper
Divide the asparagus into small bundles
Wrap each bundle with a slice of bacon
Place the wrapped asparagus on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil
Arrange them seam-side down
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, turning once halfway through
Cook until the bacon is crisp and the asparagus is tender
Serve immediately
