Craft or obtain a beacon block
Place the beacon on top of a pyramid made from iron, gold, diamond, emerald, or netherite blocks
Build the pyramid with at least one complete layer
Make sure the beacon has a clear view of the sky
Open the beacon interface
Insert a valid payment item such as iron ingot, gold ingot, diamond, emerald, or netherite ingot
Select a primary power
Select a secondary power if the pyramid is large enough
Confirm the selection to activate the beacon
Keep the pyramid intact and the sky unobstructed to maintain activation
