Turn on the HP printer
Connect the printer to Wi-Fi or a USB cable
Turn on the laptop
Open Settings on the laptop
Go to Bluetooth & devices or Devices
Select Printers & scanners
Click Add device or Add a printer
Choose the HP printer from the list
Follow the on-screen prompts
Install the HP printer driver if prompted
Download and install HP Smart if needed
Open HP Smart and add the printer
Print a test page to confirm the setup
