Turn on the HP printer and make sure it is connected to your computer or Wi-Fi network
Place the document face down on the scanner glass or face up in the automatic document feeder
Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device
Select your printer from the app
Tap or click Scan
Choose the scan source, size, color, and resolution if needed
Preview the scan if available
Tap or click Scan or Save
Choose a file name and save location
Open the saved file to confirm the scan
If using Windows, you can also open Windows Fax and Scan or the HP Scan app
If using macOS, you can also use Preview or Image Capture
If the printer does not appear, check the Wi-Fi connection, USB cable, and printer drivers
