Turn on the HP printer
Place the printer near the WiFi router
Make sure the printer is not connected to Ethernet
On the printer, open the Wireless or Network menu
Select Wireless Setup Wizard if available
Choose your WiFi network name
Enter the WiFi password
Confirm the connection
Wait for the wireless light to become solid
If the printer has a touchscreen, use it to complete setup
If the printer has no screen, press and hold the Wireless button until it starts blinking
Press the WPS button on the router if using WPS
Install the HP Smart app on your phone or computer
Open the HP Smart app
Add the printer in the app
Follow the app prompts to connect the printer to WiFi
Print a network configuration page to confirm the connection
Restart the printer and router if the printer does not connect
Re-enter the WiFi password if the connection fails
Make sure the WiFi network is 2.4 GHz if the printer does not support 5 GHz
Move the printer closer to the router if the signal is weak
