Open WhatsApp
Go to the Status tab
Tap the camera icon to create a new status
Add a photo or video
Open a music app and play the song you want
Return to WhatsApp while the music is playing
Record your status with the music playing in the background
Stop recording and preview the status
Tap Send to post it
Use a video editor or screen recorder if you want music added more clearly before uploading
Save the edited video and upload it as a WhatsApp status
