Open your LinkedIn profile
Click the pencil icon on your intro section
Scroll to the Experience section
Find the current job entry you want to update
Click the pencil icon next to that job
Edit the job title to reflect your promotion
Update the job description if needed
Save the changes
If you want to show a new role separately, add a new position in the Experience section
Enter the new job title, company, location, and dates
Save the new position
Make sure the promoted role is listed above the previous role if applicable
Review your profile to confirm the promotion is displayed correctly
