Locate the main water shutoff valve and pressure regulator
Check the current water pressure with a pressure gauge
Turn the regulator screw clockwise to increase pressure
Turn the regulator screw counterclockwise to decrease pressure
Open a faucet and recheck the pressure after each adjustment
Tighten the locknut if the regulator has one
Make small adjustments and test again
Contact a plumber if the pressure regulator is damaged or missing
