Choose a small amount of plain, unrefined coconut oil
Warm the oil slightly between your hands until soft
Brush your dog’s coat to remove loose fur and tangles
Part the fur to expose the skin
Apply a thin layer of coconut oil directly to the affected skin
Massage it in gently with your fingertips
Avoid the eyes, nose, mouth, and inside the ears
Use only a small amount to prevent greasiness
Let your dog lick only minimal amounts, if any
Monitor the skin for redness, itching, or irritation
Reapply sparingly as needed or as directed by a vet
Wash your hands after application
