Choose your eyeliner type: pencil, gel, liquid, or felt-tip
Use a steady hand and rest your elbow on a surface
Start at the inner corner and draw a thin line along the upper lash line
Fill any gaps between lashes with short strokes
Tightline the upper waterline (optional) for extra fullness
For a wing, extend the outer corner upward using a guide line from the lower lash line
Connect the wing to the upper lash line, then fill in the triangle area
Keep the line close to the lash line rather than floating above it
For a lower lash line, draw a thin line from the outer corner toward the center (optional)
Smudge lightly with a brush or fingertip if you want a softer look
Clean up edges with a cotton swab and micellar water or concealer
Let liquid liner set fully before opening your eyes wide
Set with a matching eyeshadow (optional) to reduce transfer
Finish with mascara, if desired
Remove with an oil-based makeup remover or micellar water, then cleanse
