How to Bake Oven Fried Chicken?

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C)

Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top

Pat chicken pieces dry with paper towels

Season the chicken with salt and pepper

Set up three bowls: flour, beaten eggs, and seasoned breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes

Add paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and any other preferred spices to the breadcrumb mixture

Dredge each chicken piece in flour

Dip the floured chicken into the beaten eggs

Coat the chicken thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture

Place the coated chicken on the wire rack

Spray the chicken lightly with cooking oil

Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, turning once halfway through

Cook until the chicken is golden brown and reaches 165°F (74°C) internally

Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving
