Meet minimum eligibility requirements (age, education, immunizations, background checks)
Complete required prerequisites (often high school diploma/GED, basic health/CPR readiness)
Obtain a CPR certification approved for EMT training (typically CPR for Healthcare Providers)
Enroll in an accredited EMT program (state-approved or NREMT-aligned)
Complete EMT coursework and skills training hours
