How To Boil Rice?

Measure the rice

Rinse the rice until the water runs clear

Add rice and water to a pot

Use about 2 cups of water for 1 cup of white rice

Use about 2.5 cups of water for 1 cup of brown rice

Add a pinch of salt if desired

Bring the water to a boil

Reduce the heat to low

Cover the pot with a lid

Simmer until the water is absorbed

Cook white rice for about 15 to 20 minutes

Cook brown rice for about 35 to 45 minutes

Remove the pot from the heat

Let the rice sit covered for 5 to 10 minutes

Fluff the rice with a fork

Serve the rice
