How to Build a Pondless Waterfall?

Choose the location and mark the waterfall path

Check for underground utilities before digging

Gather materials: liner, underlayment, pump, tubing, rocks, gravel, basin, waterfall foam, and filter

Excavate the basin area and stream channel

Shape shelves, drops, and spill points for the waterfall

Compact the soil and remove sharp stones

Install underlayment in the basin and channel

Lay the pond liner over the underlayment

Position the basin reservoir and pump access area

Connect the pump to the tubing and route it to the top of the waterfall

Secure the liner around the waterfall edges and basin perimeter

Place larger rocks to form the waterfall structure

Add smaller rocks and gravel to hide liner and fill gaps

Use waterfall foam between rocks to direct water flow

Fill the reservoir with water

Test the pump and adjust rock placement and flow

Add decorative stones and plants around the waterfall

Maintain water level, clean debris, and inspect the pump regularly
