Split the total units into the applicable slab ranges
Multiply units in each slab by the corresponding per-unit rate
Add fixed charges, meter rent, and any minimum charges if applicable
Add electricity duty and other statutory charges if applicable
Add fuel surcharge or additional surcharge if applicable
Add arrears, late payment surcharge, or previous balance if any
Subtract any advance payment or subsidy if applicable
Total payable amount = energy charges + fixed charges + other charges + taxes – credits
