How To Calculate Net Run Rate In Cricket?

Net Run Rate (NRR) = Team’s average runs scored per over – Team’s average runs conceded per over

Runs scored per over = Total runs scored ÷ Total overs faced

Runs conceded per over = Total runs conceded ÷ Total overs bowled

NRR = (Total runs scored ÷ Total overs faced) – (Total runs conceded ÷ Total overs bowled)

If a team is all out, use the full quota of overs in the match for overs faced

If overs are reduced in a match, use the actual overs available for that innings

For a team batting second and winning before using all overs, count only the overs actually faced

For a team bowling second and dismissing the opponent early, count only the overs actually bowled

Calculate NRR separately for each match and add them across the tournament

Tournament NRR = Total runs scored in all matches ÷ Total overs faced in all matches – Total runs conceded in all matches ÷ Total overs bowled in all matches
