How To Calculate NRR In Cricket?

Net Run Rate (NRR) = (Total runs scored by a team / Total overs faced by that team) – (Total runs conceded by a team / Total overs bowled by that team)

Use only completed overs in the calculation

If a team is all out before using all its overs, count the full quota of overs for that innings

If a team wins while chasing and reaches the target in fewer overs, count only the overs actually faced

In rain-affected matches, use the official match rules for revised overs and targets

Calculate batting run rate first

Calculate bowling run rate second

Subtract bowling run rate from batting run rate to get NRR

NRR can be positive or negative

For tournament NRR, add all matches played by the team before applying the formula
