Run rate = total runs scored ÷ total overs faced
Use the actual overs completed, including balls as a decimal only in cricket notation, not regular decimal conversion
If needed, convert balls into overs: 6 balls = 1 over
Example: 120 runs in 20 overs = 120 ÷ 20 = 6.00 run rate
Example: 45 runs in 7.3 overs means 7 overs and 3 balls, so convert to 7.5 overs; run rate = 45 ÷ 7.5 = 6.00
Net run rate is different from run rate and is calculated separately
