Open QuickTime Player
Click File
Select New Audio Recording
Choose the microphone if needed
Click the red Record button
Click the Stop button when finished
Save the recording
Open Voice Memos
Click the Record button
Click the Stop button when finished
Save or rename the recording
Open GarageBand
Create a new audio project
Select the input device
Arm the track for recording
Click Record
Click Stop when finished
Save the project or export the audio
Use Screenshot toolbar
Press Shift + Command + 5
Click Options
Select a microphone if available
Start the recording if using screen capture with audio input
Use third-party audio recording apps
Install and open the app
Select the input source
Start recording
Stop and export the audio
Check System Settings
Open Sound settings
Select the correct input device
Adjust input volume if needed
Test the microphone before recording
