Remove old caulk completely
Clean the joint with soap and water
Dry the area thoroughly
Use rubbing alcohol to remove residue
Tape both sides of the caulk line if desired
Cut the caulk tube tip at a 45-degree angle
Puncture the inner seal of the tube
Load the tube into a caulk gun
Apply steady pressure and run a continuous bead
Keep the bead even along the seam
Smooth the caulk with a wet finger or caulk tool
Remove painter’s tape before the caulk skins over
Wipe away excess caulk immediately
Let the caulk cure for the recommended time
Avoid using the bathtub until fully cured
