Turn off the water supply to the outdoor spigot
Open the spigot to release any remaining water
Remove the old spigot handle or trim if needed
Disconnect the spigot from the pipe inside the wall or foundation
Remove any mounting screws or fasteners
Unscrew or cut out the old spigot
Clean the pipe threads or connection area
Apply plumber’s tape or pipe sealant to the new spigot connection
Install the new spigot onto the pipe
Tighten the connection securely
Reattach any mounting screws or trim
Turn the water supply back on
Check for leaks
Tighten connections if needed
Test the new spigot for proper operation
