Check the key fob model and battery type
Open the key fob case using the seam, slot, or release button
Remove the old battery carefully
Note the battery orientation before removing it
Insert the new battery in the same orientation
Reassemble the key fob case
Test the key fob buttons
Dispose of the old battery properly
