Check your car key type and battery model
Open the key fob using a small flat tool or coin
Remove the old battery carefully
Note the battery orientation
Insert the new battery in the same orientation
Snap the key fob case back together
Test the key buttons and remote functions
Replace the battery cover if needed
Dispose of the old battery properly
