Park the vehicle on a flat, safe surface
Turn on the hazard lights
Apply the parking brake
Put the vehicle in park or in gear
Place wheel chocks if available
Remove the spare tyre, jack, and wrench
Loosen the wheel nuts slightly before lifting the vehicle
Position the jack at the correct jacking point
Raise the vehicle until the tyre is off the ground
Remove the wheel nuts completely
Take off the flat tyre
Mount the spare tyre onto the hub
Hand-tighten the wheel nuts
Lower the vehicle until the tyre touches the ground
Tighten the wheel nuts in a crisscross pattern
Fully lower the vehicle
Tighten the wheel nuts again securely
Check the tyre pressure
Store the flat tyre and tools
Drive to a repair shop if the spare is temporary
