Open Instagram
Go to your profile
Tap the menu icon
Tap Settings and privacy
Tap Accessibility or Theme, if available
Select Dark mode or Light mode
To change chat colors, open a DM
Tap the chat name at the top
Tap Theme
Choose a color or theme
To change story or post colors, edit them before sharing
Use the text, sticker, or drawing tools to add colors
To change your phone’s Instagram appearance, change your device theme settings
Update Instagram to the latest version if color options are missing
