Check your vehicle’s owner’s manual for the correct battery type
Locate the seam or release slot on the key fob
Use a small flat tool or coin to gently pry the fob open
Remove the old battery
Note the battery orientation before removing it
Insert the new battery in the same orientation
Snap the key fob case back together
Test the key fob buttons
Reprogram the fob if required by your vehicle
