Turn off the engine and let it cool
Disconnect the negative battery terminal
Locate the mass air flow meter
Remove the air intake tube or housing as needed
Unplug the MAF sensor connector
Remove the MAF sensor carefully
Use only MAF sensor cleaner
Spray the sensing elements lightly
Do not touch the sensing wires or film
Do not use brushes, cloths, or compressed air
Let the sensor air-dry completely
Reinstall the MAF sensor
Reconnect the electrical connector
Reassemble the intake components
Reconnect the battery terminal
Start the engine and check operation
