Park on a flat surface and engage the parking brake
Loosen the lug nuts slightly before lifting the vehicle
Jack up the vehicle and secure it with jack stands
Remove the wheel
Remove the caliper bolts
Lift off the caliper and support it without stressing the brake hose
Remove the old brake pads
Remove the caliper bracket if needed
Remove the old rotor if replacing it
Install the new rotor if applicable
Clean the new parts and contact surfaces with brake cleaner
Reinstall the caliper bracket if removed
Install the new brake pads
Compress the caliper piston with a brake tool
Reinstall the caliper over the pads
Tighten the caliper bolts to the proper specification
Reinstall the wheel
Lower the vehicle
Tighten the lug nuts to the proper specification
Repeat on the remaining wheels as needed
Pump the brake pedal until it feels firm
Check the brake fluid level
Test the brakes at low speed before normal driving
