Turn off the engine and let it cool
Disconnect the negative battery terminal
Locate the mass air flow sensor
Remove the sensor from the intake tube
Handle the sensor carefully
Use only mass air flow sensor cleaner
Spray the sensing elements lightly
Do not touch the sensing elements
Do not use brushes, cloths, or compressed air
Let the sensor air dry completely
Reinstall the sensor
Reconnect all clamps and connectors
Reconnect the battery terminal
Start the engine and check for proper operation
