Let the skillet cool completely
Rinse with hot water
Scrub with a stiff brush or non-metal scrub pad
Remove stubborn food with coarse salt and a damp cloth or paper towel
Dry thoroughly with a clean towel
Heat the skillet on the stove on low to medium heat for 1–3 minutes to fully evaporate moisture
Apply a thin layer of cooking oil to the entire surface (including handle and sides)
Wipe off excess oil
Store in a dry place or hang to prevent moisture buildup
