Wash the cookware with warm water and dish soap
Dry it completely
Heat the pan over medium heat until fully dry and warm
Add a thin layer of high-smoke-point oil
Spread the oil evenly over the cooking surface
Heat the pan until the oil just starts to smoke
Turn off the heat and let the pan cool completely
Wipe out any excess oil with a clean paper towel
Repeat the process 2 to 3 times if desired
Use the pan regularly and clean it gently after each use
