Let the pan cool slightly before cleaning
Wash with hot water
Use a stiff brush, non-scratch scrubber, or chainmail scrubber
Use a small amount of mild dish soap if needed
Scrape off stuck-on food with a pan scraper
Rinse thoroughly
Dry immediately with a towel
Heat on the stove or in the oven to remove remaining moisture
Apply a thin layer of cooking oil after drying
Wipe off any excess oil
Store in a dry place
Avoid soaking the pan
Avoid the dishwasher
Avoid using steel wool unless necessary
Re-season if rust appears or the surface looks dull
