Let it cool completely
Clean the grease trap and drip tray
Wash removable parts with warm soapy water
Dry all parts thoroughly before reassembling
Avoid using soap on the griddle surface unless needed for a deep clean
Avoid abrasive scrubbers that can damage the seasoning
Cover the griddle after it is fully dry
