Unplug the washer
Remove any clothes from the drum
Wipe the door, gasket, and detergent drawer
Clean the detergent dispenser with warm water
Run an empty hot water cycle
Add washer cleaner or white vinegar to the drum
Sprinkle baking soda in the drum if needed
Scrub the door seal and crevices with a soft cloth or brush
Clean the filter or lint trap
Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth
Leave the door and detergent drawer open to dry
Repeat monthly or as needed
