Use a stud finder to locate studs, pipes, and wiring
Choose an in-wall rated cable kit or power relocation kit
Mark the TV and outlet locations on the wall
Cut access openings only where needed
Run in-wall rated HDMI, power, and other cables through the wall
Use fish tape or a cable pull rod to guide cables
Keep low-voltage cables separate from electrical wiring
Install wall plates or brush plates to cover openings
Mount the TV and connect all cables
Test all connections before closing up
Patch, paint, or finish around openings if required
Hire a licensed electrician if adding a new power outlet in the wall
