How To Cook Amaranth Grain?

Rinse 1 cup amaranth grain under cold water

Add 2.5 to 3 cups water or broth to a saucepan

Bring the liquid to a boil

Add the rinsed amaranth

Reduce heat to low

Cover and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes

Stir occasionally to prevent sticking

Cook until the liquid is absorbed and the grains are tender

Remove from heat

Let it sit covered for 5 minutes

Fluff with a fork before serving

Season as desired
