Preheat a skillet, grill, or oven to medium-high heat
Place frozen hamburger patties directly onto the hot cooking surface
Season the top side with salt and pepper if desired
Cook for about 5 to 7 minutes on the first side
Flip the patties
Season the second side if desired
Cook for another 5 to 7 minutes
Continue cooking until the internal temperature reaches 160°F
Remove the patties from heat
Let the patties rest for 2 to 3 minutes before serving
