How To Cook Frozen Tamales?

Keep tamales frozen until ready to cook

Remove any plastic wrap or packaging

Steam in a steamer basket over boiling water

Cover tightly with a lid

Steam for 25 to 35 minutes if thawed

Steam for 45 to 60 minutes if frozen

Check that the masa is hot and pulls away from the husk easily

Add more water if needed during steaming

Let rest for 5 minutes before serving

Reheat in the microwave by wrapping in a damp paper towel and heating in short intervals

Reheat in the oven by wrapping in foil and baking at 350°F until heated through

Reheat in the Instant Pot by steaming on a trivet with water for about 15 to 20 minutes
