Bring to a boil
Reduce to a simmer
Cook until tender, about 1.5 to 2.5 hours
Check tenderness with a fork
Drain and let cool slightly
Slice or leave whole as needed
Season and cook further by frying, sautéing, grilling, or adding to stew
