Peel the garlic clove
Place the flat side of a knife over the clove
Press down firmly with the heel of your hand
Use a garlic press to crush the clove
Place the clove in a mortar and pestle and grind it
Put the clove in a sealed bag and smash it with a rolling pin
Use the side of a heavy pan to press the clove
Chop the crushed garlic if a finer texture is needed
