Wash the pineapple under running water
Place it on a cutting board
Cut off the top crown
Cut off the bottom
Stand the pineapple upright
Slice off the skin from top to bottom in strips
Remove any remaining eyes with the knife tip
Cut the pineapple in half lengthwise
Cut each half into quarters if desired
Slice out the tough core from each piece
Cut the pineapple into wedges, chunks, or slices as needed
